The Zhongneng Offshore Wind Project is a 300MW project located off the western coast of Changhua, Taiwan, neighbouring the CFXD Project. The Zhongneng project is co-owned by China Steel Corporation, Taiwan’s state-owned and largest integrated steel maker, and a renewable energy infrastructure fund managed by CIP. The project is currently under development and expected to reach financial close before end 2021 and commercial operation in 2024.
The Zhongneng and CFXD projects remain the only offshore wind projects with approved 2019 Industrial Relevance Plans in Taiwan.
