Energy Grid

Alcemi

In collaboration with local partner Alcemi, CIP and CISC are actively engaged in the development of a series of battery storage facilities in the United Kingdom. This partnership entails the establishment of a diverse collection of large-scale battery energy storage projects throughout the UK, supporting the integration of renewable energy capacity and the transition towards achieving net zero emissions by 2050. Currently, there are seven Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects in various stages of development in the UK, with the first Final Investment Decision (FID) expected in the second half of 2023. The combined energy storage capacity of these projects is projected to reach 4.3 GW in the future.
Energy Storage

Bute

Bute is a combined development portfolio of onshore wind, solar PV, battery energy storage, and grid network with a total capacity of ~6,200 MW, located in Wales, United Kingdom. We have entered into a partnership with a local developer, Bute Energy, who will be responsible for developing the projects in cooperation with CIP and CISC. The first project is expected to reach Final Investment Decision (FID) in mid-2024 with the remainder in 2026 onwards. The wind portfolio has attractive characteristics such as substantial scale, strong wind speeds, negative grid charges; it is located in areas that are designated for onshore wind build-out.
